Welcome to our Humanities & Communication Day registration form! We are thrilled you are interested in learning more about the Mass Communication and Creative Writing programs we offer at Cowley College. Please fill out this form to register for this event day! Deadline for event registration and contest submission is October 31, 2024.

Here are some of the events you can experience that day:

Faculty and Student-led Tours of the mass communication and creative writing program spaces Studio and classroom time for hands-on experience Portfolio review and feedback opportunities Onsight and submitted competition and awards results.

Contest Details:

• Students may choose to submit portfolios for either the Writing contest OR Mass Communications contest.
• Writing contest: Entries should be at least 3 but no more than 5 works of poetry, short fiction, short creative non-fiction, or a blend of those genres. Formats accepted: Microsoft Word document OR PDF.
• Mass Communication contest: Entries can be any number of works in the areas of Written Storytelling, Video Storytelling, Photography, or Social Media Promotion. Formats accepted: Microsoft Word document, PDF, .mov, .mp4, .wav, .png, .jpg, & .tiff.
• Submissions received after 10/31/24 will not be considered.
• Winners will be announced on 11/7/2024 at the Humanities & Communication Day Awards Ceremony. Additional details regarding scholarship eligibility requirements to be shared after Awards Ceremony. Must be present to win.
